Software Developer

Salary: £40,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong back-end engineering in at least one language, with sound judgment to choose the right tool rather than the familiar one
• Experience deploying services to production and supporting them in cloud environments
• Solid grounding in system design and engineering principles, with attention to failure handling, data, and maintenance
• Fluency with agentic development, including real-world experience building with coding agents such as Claude Code or similar
• Understanding of context management, skills and sub-agents, prompting, and orchestration in AI-assisted development
• Experience with API design and third-party integration using clean interfaces and sensible contracts
• Desirable: enough frontend and UI sense to build a decent interface
• Desirable: comfort across several languages such as Python, Go, or Java
• Desirable: awareness of application security and care when handling sensitive data

Responsibilities:

• Build and own projects end to end, including backend development, deployment, and ongoing operational health
• Design systems that are simple to run and easy for the next person to understand
• Work with AI agents as a normal part of the build process, knowing when to trust them and when to step in
• Integrate third-party services such as KYC providers, payment and gaming platforms, and forensic data sources
• Take ownership of whatever the project needs, including front-end work, data work, and infrastructure
• Own projects rather than tickets, taking ideas from rough concept through to production and ongoing reliability
