Job Description

Salary: £100,000 - 120,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We need 10+ years leading enterprise-scale transformation and technology programmes, with a track record of delivering high-value initiatives on outcome, budget, and time.
  • We need deep specialist domain expertise in UK insurance broking and the Lloyds and London market, including placement, binding, delegated authority, MGAs, market messaging, and settlement.
  • We need demonstrable experience across platform modernisation, data and AI enablement, and operating model redesign.
  • We need a proven track record of stabilising, consolidating, and harmonising complex platform estates, ideally in an acquisitive environment following mergers and acquisitions.
  • We need breadth across the insurance value chain: broking, policy administration, claims management, risk management, and reinsurance, spanning multiple lines including specialty.
  • We need a strong systems integration background, including integration of core finance systems with policy, claims, and settlement platforms.
  • We need a strong grounding in enterprise architecture concepts and the ability to challenge and steer technical direction credibly.
  • We need excellent programme governance discipline, including business cases, benefits realisation, financial control, RAID, and executive reporting.
  • We need strong vendor and systems integrator management experience, including commercial and contractual negotiation.
  • We need excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to tailor messages to senior stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
Responsibilities:
  • We will define, own, and communicate the transformation roadmap, aligning platform, data, and operating model change to our commercial and market strategy.
  • We will establish the transformation programme as the strategic vehicle for modernising our broking ecosystem, from placement through to settlement and reporting.
  • We will lead the design and delivery of platform stabilisation, unification, and harmonisation across the insurance value chain.
  • We will set direction for system integration through a modern digital backbone, and for finance systems integration, ensuring accurate and auditable flows across our estate.
  • We will translate regulatory, market, and competitive drivers, including Lloyds modernisation, into a coherent and prioritised change portfolio.
  • We will own programme governance, financials, RAID management, gated stage reviews, and executive reporting.
  • We will establish and chair delivery assurance and design authority forums on behalf of leadership, developing decision frameworks and reporting on governance outcomes.
  • We will conduct programme and architecture reviews, providing guidance to delivery teams on standards, patterns, and compliance.
  • We will identify and mitigate delivery and technical risks, ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and regulatory requirements such as FCA, Lloyds, GDPR, and operational resilience.
  • We will undertake due diligence of vendor systems and solutions to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and policies.
  • We will act as a trusted strategic partner to senior executives and business line leaders, shaping the case for change and securing sponsorship and investment.
  • We will represent transformation direction at key change programme, project, and business stakeholder meetings.
  • We will provide consultative subject matter expertise on broking, Lloyds market operations, and platform capabilities to teams across the wider business.
  • We will collaborate with enterprise architects, platform leads, and business stakeholders to align solutions with strategic goals.
  • We will continuously assess and optimise platforms, processes, and operating models for performance, scalability, resilience, and efficiency.
  • We will lead organisational change management, stakeholder engagement, and adoption to make change stick.
  • We will mentor delivery teams and foster a culture of innovation, delivery excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • We will work in an agile, collaborative manner, adapting to evolving business needs, constructively challenging ideas, and remaining open to feedback.
