Senior Test Engineer

Salary: £43,000 - 72,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require the highest level of UK Security Clearance to eDV (enhanced DV).
• We require experience working in an Agile, Scrum or DevOps delivery model.
• We require experience deploying and configuring complex software under Linux and Windows.
• We require experience producing test plans and reports using applicable tools.
• We require understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle and demonstrable evidence of relevant test methodologies and toolsets.
• Desirable: experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Desirable: experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
• Desirable: experience with scripting languages and scripting for automation.
• Desirable: experience with continuous integration.
• Desirable: Linux system administration experience.
• Desirable: ability to review and apply different tools and techniques, such as monitoring, logging and performance testing.

Responsibilities:

• We apply test skills and experience within the context of an Agile software delivery team.
• We are responsible for the creation and maintenance of automated test frameworks.
• We define and manage test environments, create and manage test data, and define and manage test tools.
• We support estimation of test activities.
• We support test team interactions with the wider development team and assist in the resolution of issues.
• We contribute to the production of test documents using appropriate tools as required.
• We raise defects and support the wider development team in resolving them.
• We manage the creation of automated and manual test scripts.
• We produce test and deployment strategies and plans in compliance with customer project guidelines.

We are recruiting for a Senior Test Engineer (eDV) to join our experienced software development function, with a focus on National Security projects. This is an office-based role and can be based in Gloucester, Manchester or London.
