Senior Software Engineer (Python)

Salary: £25,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements:

• Deep expertise in Python and strong software engineering fundamentals
• Proven experience designing and building APIs, ideally using GraphQL
• Comfortable working with multiple data sources, including PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases
• Excellent understanding of software engineering principles and best practices, with a track record of building robust, scalable, maintainable systems
• Proven experience collaborating within teams and across disciplines
• Experience using AI technology and tools to augment development
• Track record of owning features from inception through delivery
• Bonus: Strong frontend experience with React, TypeScript, and Next.js
• Bonus: Experience with event-driven architecture or systems
• Bonus: Production experience with AI technology and tools

Responsibilities:

• Work within a dedicated cross-functional team on products for customers and internal teams
• Design and build robust APIs that integrate internal and third-party services to optimize and automate core business processes
• Architect and evolve performant, scalable backend systems and data models
• Work across multiple data sources and design expressive, well-structured schemas
• Contribute to frontend applications as needed and help shape effective user experiences
• Write maintainable code
• Share ideas and knowledge, support and mentor colleagues, and help raise the teams standards
