Senior Software Engineer, New Products

Salary: £45,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, with a deep foundation in backend architecture and the ability to flex full-stack when needed
• Experience shipping products from scratch in high-growth startups, corporate innovation labs, or fast-paced greenfield environments
• Strong product and commercial intuition, with the ability to challenge assumptions and evaluate technical decisions through a business lens
• Pragmatic and resourceful approach with a strong get-things-done mindset
• High tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to translate executive visions into clean, maintainable software
• Familiarity or hands-on experience building software that leverages Generative AI, LLMs, or intelligent workflow automation is preferred
• Experience in fintech, payments, or working with compliance and money-movement rails is preferred
• Prior experience as a startup founder, founding engineer, or technical lead of a rapid-prototyping team is preferred

Responsibilities:

• Co-author 0-to-1 products by partnering directly with the CEO and global leadership to turn strategic visions and AI capabilities into market-ready financial software
• Embody a product engineer mindset by synthesizing business requirements, regulatory realities, and cutting-edge technology to shape product scope and roadmap
• Execute with velocity by running rapid proofs of concept, deploying them to live users, and balancing rapid iteration with structural soundness
• Deliver end-to-end solutions across the full stack, from API design to frontend polish, to get products into the hands of global users
