Senior Security Architect

Salary: £28,000 - 51,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require expertise in leading the secure design of new cloud services and solutions in line with defined security strategies.
• We require expertise in identifying security issues in existing system designs, including recommending sensible mitigations that balance cost, risk and usability.
• We require knowledge of security standards and regulations such as NCSC, ISO, SoC, NIST, PCI and GDPR.
• We require experience in one of the following specialisms: AI/ML, Data, Cloud, M365, or Security Architecture.
• We require experience in application architecture, software development and/or infrastructure architecture.
• We require industry experience in one of the following sectors: Public, Healthcare, Defence, or Commercial.
• We require experience in testing the security of software and infrastructure using appropriate security tools.
• We require experience with Continuous Security, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery techniques.
• We require experience of network security, web application security and cryptographic controls.
• We require a demonstrated ability in managing, mentoring and coaching team members and wider communities.
• We require excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain security complexities to audiences with varying technical backgrounds.
• Desirable: experience of identity management and authentication/authorisation products and patterns.
• Desirable: experience in at least one industry vertical.
• Desirable: involvement across the full security lifecycle.
• Desirable: end-to-end security involvement including governance, risk and compliance, operational security, supply chain security and secure user management.
• Desirable: active participation in knowledge sharing activities within and beyond the team.
• Desirable: penetration specialist certifications.

• We work with Agile delivery teams to ensure good security practices are followed throughout the software development journey.
• We learn about and apply new technologies and approaches alongside talented colleagues.
• We share knowledge and help educate customers and team members on good security practices.
• We manage, coach and develop a small number of staff, with a focus on performance management and career development.
• We provide direction and leadership for our team as we solve challenging problems together.
