Senior Platform Engineer - Farnborough

Salary: £75,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerised platforms.
• Experience with cloud technologies including AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and automation.
• Experience with platform security, operational tooling and governance.
• Experience delivering complex solutions within secure or regulated environments.
• We require applicants to be Sole UK Nationals and eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC), with a willingness to undergo Developed Vetting (DV).
• Experience within Defence, National Security or other highly regulated industries would be advantageous.
• Willingness to undertake occasional international travel.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build and maintain secure, scalable platform solutions across hybrid cloud environments.
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery.
• Implement monitoring, observability and operational tooling to improve platform reliability.
• Work closely with Site Reliability Engineering and Operations teams to ensure high availability and resilience.
• Support incident response, root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as a technical mentor, promoting engineering standards and best practice across the team.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and stakeholders to evolve platform capabilities and adopt emerging technologies.
