Salary: £70,000 - 85,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Around 10+ years of relevant IT experience, including significant exposure to cybersecurity.
  • Background as an IT Manager, Infrastructure Manager, Head of IT, Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Cybersecurity Manager, or similar.
  • Strong hands-on technical capability across IT infrastructure, systems, networks, cloud services, and endpoints.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID / Active Directory.
  • Experience with Windows Server and Windows endpoint environments.
  • Knowledge of networking, including VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
  • Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR/XDR, and SIEM.
  • Experience in identity and access management, MFA, and privileged access.
  • Experience with vulnerability management, system hardening, and cyber incident response.
  • Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
  • Experience with cloud and SaaS security.
  • Experience with IT asset management, licensing, and procurement.
  • Familiarity with Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, NIST, and/or GDPR.
  • Experience managing IT suppliers and technology projects.
  • Ability to communicate technical and cybersecurity risks clearly to directors and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Confidence to make senior technical decisions and work independently when required.
Responsibilities:
  • Own the companys IT infrastructure, systems, networks, cloud services, and endpoints.
  • Set IT and cybersecurity strategy, policies, and standards.
  • Manage Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID.
  • Oversee servers, networks, firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi, storage, and backups.
  • Manage identity and access, MFA, and privileged access controls.
  • Lead endpoint security, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, and patching.
  • Monitor security, manage threats, and respond to cyber incidents.
  • Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and cyber resilience.
  • Conduct IT and security risk assessments.
  • Manage IT suppliers, cybersecurity partners, and technology vendors.
  • Handle hardware, software, and technology procurement.
  • Deliver IT projects, upgrades, migrations, and system implementations.
  • Maintain security and infrastructure documentation.
  • Support data protection and cybersecurity compliance.
  • Report on IT performance, security, vulnerabilities, incidents, and risk.
  • Advise senior management on technology risks, investment, and improvements.
