Senior Integration Engineer

Requirements:

• Strong enterprise software engineering and systems integration background
• Commercial experience with FHIR
• Commercial experience with HL7 v2.x
• Strong RESTful API and web services development experience
• Experience integrating multiple complex systems
• Cloud-based application development
• Git, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
• Secure software development practices
• Agile and DevOps delivery experience
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills
• Comfort attending our Leeds/Wakefield location at least once per week, with some additional regional travel for technical workshops, testing and implementation activities
• Experience with integration engines, middleware and event-driven architecture would also be beneficial

Responsibilities:

• We develop secure APIs, integration services and reusable integration components
• We build interfaces using FHIR, HL7 v2.x and RESTful APIs
• We integrate with complex enterprise platforms, including EPR and PAS systems
• We support integration testing, deployment, go-live and early-life support
• We troubleshoot integration issues across multiple systems
• We develop automated unit, integration and API tests
• We work within Agile delivery and CI/CD environments
• We produce technical, API and interface documentation
• We support code reviews and maintain high software engineering standards

More:

We are recruiting a Senior Integration Software Engineer for a large-scale integration programme. This is a contract role based in Leeds/Wakefield on a hybrid basis, with at least 1 day per week onsite and occasional regional travel. The contract runs from 1 September 2026 to 16 November 2026, is full-time, and is priced at £395 per day inside IR35. We work within a multidisciplinary delivery team alongside Architects, Business Analysts, Delivery Managers and technical stakeholders to design and deliver secure, reliable integrations across complex enterprise systems.
