Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: £50,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• Excellent problem-solving skills using logical and systematic approaches
• Ability to understand the long-term impact of decisions
• Proficient knowledge and understanding of network security tools and security practices
• Solid understanding of computer network architecture
• Awareness of disaster recovery planning and implementation
• Awareness of business continuity planning and implementation
• Experience with VMware
• Experience with Hyper-V, SCVMM and vCenter
• Experience with SSL, VPN and IP subnetting
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server operating systems
• Experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience with mobile device management
• Experience with server virtualization technologies
• Experience with storage area networks and network attached storage

Responsibilities:

• Configure and provision server hardware to provide a secure and high-performing compute platform
• Maintain the security and integrity of network infrastructure and services to help prevent and identify unauthorised activity
• Manage secure and resilient data centres to support our products and internal services
• Review and recommend new technologies to improve existing services
• Train and mentor junior colleagues to build expertise and reduce ticket escalations
