Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Salary: £55,000 - 95,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for a senior modern C++ developer with at least 7 years of professional software experience.
• We require at least 4 years of experience with Modern C++ (C++11/14/17).
• We require at least 3 years of experience working in a Linux development environment.
• We require software design experience.
• We are looking for a proactive self-starter who takes initiative.
• We value strong communication skills.
• Nice to have: experience developing on embedded Linux and working with middleware, POSIX APIs, GStreamer, audio frameworks, asynchronous frameworks such as Boost.Asio, networking protocols and sockets, debugging on embedded Linux with GDB and Valgrind, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities:

• We design, develop, and maintain our Sound United IoT platform.
• We analyze requirements for new products and features.
• We help define and improve our software development process.
• We collaborate with team members locally and overseas, including Australia, Japan, and the US.
