Senior Delphi Developer

Salary: £45,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements:

• 10+ years of commercial Delphi experience (XE2, XE10+)
• 10+ years of Transact-SQL / MS SQL Server experience
• 3+ years of .NET C# experience, ideally
• Demonstrable experience mentoring developers and/or leading technical teams
• Experience with legacy, undocumented systems
• Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery experience
• Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience, preferred

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and enhance a mission-critical Delphi application
• Diagnose and resolve complex defects
• Mentor and coach developers, share knowledge, and raise team capability
• Lead planning, estimating, and review of development work
• Guide best practices in secure coding, documentation, and quality assurance
• Liaise with business users, QA, and infrastructure teams as the senior technical contact
• Contribute technical direction to modernisation and transition projects
