Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake)
Job Description
Salary: £70,000 - 90,000 per year
Requirements:- Strong commercial experience with Snowflake
- Excellent understanding of Star Schema and dimensional modelling
- Experience with dbt
- Strong SQL and data engineering capability
- Experience working with time-series market data
- Exposure to market data platforms and financial data ingestion
- Financial Services experience
- Experience working within risk-related environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Portfolio suitability experience is highly desirable
- Wealth Management or Asset Management experience is highly desirable
- Investment Management data experience is highly desirable
- Regulatory reporting exposure is highly desirable
- Snowflake Cortex AI and/or Claude Code experience is highly desirable
- Medallion Architecture experience is highly desirable
- Modern data platform delivery experience is highly desirable
- Design and develop scalable data solutions within Snowflake
- Build and maintain data pipelines and transformation frameworks using dbt
- Work with complex market, investment, and risk datasets
- Design dimensional data models and Star Schema structures
- Support portfolio suitability and regulatory reporting initiatives
- Implement data quality, validation, and governance controls
- Work closely with investment, risk, and business stakeholders
- Contribute to a rapidly evolving Data and AI capability
- Leverage modern engineering practices and AI-assisted development tools

We are a leading UK Wealth Management organisation undergoing a significant transformation of our Data and AI capability. We are hiring two Senior Data Engineers to join a high-profile Portfolio Suitability programme, one of the most strategically important initiatives in our business over the next two years. This is a highly visible, regulatory-driven role where you will work directly with senior leadership, investment professionals, and key stakeholders across the business. The role is permanent and hybrid, based in London with two days a week in the office. The salary is £70,000 to £90,000 plus bonus.
