Senior Data Analyst - Product Reliability

Salary: £66,000 - 106,000 per year

• You may be a strong analyst, product-minded data scientist, or ex-engineer, but what matters most is that you take ownership of outcomes, not just outputs.
• You are comfortable operating in ambiguity and shaping problems.
• You can influence senior stakeholders without formal authority.
• You care about real-world impact more than perfect models.
• Excellent SQL proficiency and experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Grafana, Lightdash, or Superset.
• Ability to build and manage data pipelines that are modular and scalable, using tools such as DBT and Airflow.
• Familiarity with observability and reliability concepts such as SLIs, SLOs, and incidents.
• Some experience with Python and data transformation tools such as DBT is helpful.

Responsibilities:

• Own our Reliability metrics end-to-end, including definition, measurement, targets, and progress.
• Partner deeply with engineering to understand systems, incidents, and trade-offs.
• Drive decisions by bringing clarity to complex problems and pushing for action.
• Balance short-term incidents versus long-term systemic improvements.
• Create leverage through frameworks, dashboards, and narratives that scale.
• Work with senior engineering and product leaders to clarify what reliability means in practice, how we measure it, and where we need to improve.
• Connect low-level system signals such as incidents, performance, and failure modes to their impact on customers and the business.
• Help ensure reliability is built into how we design and operate systems from the outset.
• Identify where we are falling short, highlight the most important risks, and influence how teams invest their time.
