Senior Analytics Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £45,000 - 83,000 per year
Requirements:- Proven delivery experience as a data, business intelligence, or analytics engineer
- Hands-on data modelling and data warehousing skills in large-scale data environments
- Experience with the software development lifecycle in analytics, including version control, testing, and CI/CD
- Excellent SQL and data transformation skills, ideally with dbt or a similar tool
- Familiarity with at least one cloud technology such as Snowflake, AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure
- Passion for sales, finance, customer, marketing, and/or product analytics data
- Strong attention to detail to identify and address data quality issues
- Enable key insights into product performance
- Establish a single source of truth for North Star and tracking metrics
- Work closely with product managers and product data scientists to shape product evolution
- Build new data products and improve how analytics is viewed across critical areas
- Own multiple data products end to end, from design to implementation and operationalisation
- Design and implement high-performance, reusable, and scalable data models for our data warehouse using dbt and Snowflake
- Design and implement Looker structures, including explores and views, to enable self-serve analytics across the organization
- Work with data analysts and business teams to understand requirements and provide data ready for analysis and reporting
- Continuously discover, transform, test, deploy, and document data sources and data models
- Champion data warehouse governance, including data quality, testing, documentation, coding best practices, and peer reviews
