Salary: £38,000 - 68,000 per year

Responsibilities:

• We will define and shape how we deliver APIs to digital services.
• We will provide attribute insights for fraud detection and prevention across the department.
• We will work on a front-end digital service.
• We will consolidate services to provide a consistent and easy-to-use experience for users.
• We will consider and deliver high-volume, high-availability, and low-latency services.
• We will improve our existing services.
• We will reduce maintenance efforts through incremental re-architecting.
• We will reduce the number of technologies required to support the pipeline.
• We will use managed services where appropriate.
• We will design and develop clean, functioning, testable back-end code.
• We will write effective APIs.
• We will develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications with security and data protection settings.
• We will collaborate with the product owner, business analyst, data engineers, and wider teams to ideate software solutions.

We are supporting our Central Government client on a hybrid London engagement, with two days per week onsite. This is an inside IR35 opportunity at £600 per day. Our team is looking for a Senior Scala Engineer to help shape a front-end digital service and improve the delivery of APIs for digital services, with a focus on fraud detection and prevention.
