SAP IT Business Analyst
Job Description
Salary: £27,000 - 67,000 per year

- Previous experience using Azure DevOps and/or JIRA, with confidence working in agile delivery environments, is required.
- Experience using Microsoft Visio is required.
- Experience within the water, wastewater, or wider utilities sector would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA would be beneficial.
- A recognised Business Analysis qualification such as BCS Business Analysis or Lean Six Sigma would be welcomed.
- Experience using Atlassian Confluence would be an advantage.
- We will have you lead Business Analysis activities across multiple change initiatives and deliver high-quality requirements specifications for bespoke software, third-party applications, and cloud-based solutions.
- We will have you translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements, including UI designs, data models, business process changes, and system interface specifications.
- You will apply best practice Requirements Engineering techniques to ensure effective elicitation, analysis, validation, documentation, and traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- You will gather and define business requirements using stakeholder interviews, workshops, surveys, and collaborative sessions.
- You will produce and maintain AS-IS and TO-BE business process models, conduct gap analysis, and support transition planning.
- You will build and manage strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and ensure effective communication and engagement throughout project delivery.
- You will facilitate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions are thoroughly tested and meet agreed business requirements.
- You will work closely with project teams to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions that align with business objectives and drive positive change.
- You will support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, systems, and ways of working.

We are Yorkshire Water, a water utility company based in the Yorkshire region of England, providing essential water and wastewater services to more than 5.4 million people across the region. We protect the environment, support communities, and play a key role in the regions health, wellbeing, and prosperity. This is a permanent SAP Business Analyst role within our IT SAP team, working 37 hours per week on a hybrid basis with 1-2 days in the office. The role will initially be based in Bradford, with a move to Leeds Valley Park planned for summer 2026.
