SAP BTP Integration Architect

Salary: £70,000 - 110,000 per year

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in SAP integration, with at least 5 years in a senior architect role.
• Deep understanding of enterprise integration patterns, principles, and best practices, including EAI, SOA, API-led, and event-driven architecture.
• Hands-on experience architecting complex solutions with SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration/CPI), API Management, and Event Mesh.
• Experience as an Integration Architect on at least two full-lifecycle S/4HANA transformation projects.
• Demonstrable experience with Bluefield or system conversion projects, including legacy interface remediation.
• Strong experience designing, publishing, and governing RESTful APIs and OData services.
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with non-SAP integration platforms such as MuleSoft or Dell Boomi is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of ABAP development, particularly RFCs, BAPIs, IDocs, and proxy interfaces, is highly advantageous.
• Experience with S/4HANA data migration strategies and tools is highly advantageous.
• Relevant SAP certifications in BTP or S/4HANA are relevant.

Responsibilities:

• We own the integration strategy for the S/4HANA Bluefield migration and ensure it aligns with enterprise architecture principles.
• We design and architect robust integration scenarios using SAP BTP services, with a focus on SAP Integration Suite, API Management, and Event Mesh.
• We lead design authority sessions to review and approve integration patterns.
• We provide guidance on Bluefield migration integration challenges, including remediation of existing ECC interfaces and temporary dual-run synchronization mechanisms.
• We establish a catalog of standard, approved integration patterns for project teams to use.
• We serve as the primary technical liaison between functional workstreams, third-party system owners, and development teams.
• We oversee the development and testing of integration solutions to ensure performance, security, and scalability requirements are met.
• We provide technical leadership and mentorship to integration developers and analysts.

We are seeking a highly experienced and senior SAP BTP Integration Architect to join a flagship S/4HANA transformation program. This is a critical leadership role responsible for designing and governing the end-to-end integration landscape for one of the largest and most complex S/4HANA Bluefield migrations globally. The ideal candidate will have a deep background in enterprise integration and hands-on experience architecting solutions on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). You will be the ultimate authority on how our new S/4HANA core communicates with our ecosystem of connected systems, ensuring a seamless, scalable, and secure flow of data across the enterprise.
