SAP Accountant

Salary: £56,000 - 96,000 per year

Requirements:

• Qualified or part-qualified Accountant status
• Proven experience in a management accounting environment
• Strong SAP experience
• Good understanding of SAP finance processes and systems
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience using reporting/data analysis tools such as Power BI
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and technical stakeholders

Responsibilities:

• Work with finance stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate these into functional solutions
• Analyse and improve finance processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency
• Support SAP data cleansing, migration activities, validation, and data integrity checks
• Collaborate with technical and project teams to deliver solutions within agreed timescales
• Provide expertise across core finance processes including month-end, year-end close, consolidations, and intercompany transactions

We are seeking an experienced SAP Accountant to join a key finance transformation project, supporting the delivery of effective SAP solutions and driving improvements across financial processes. This is a 6-month fixed term contract with an immediate start preferred, and there is potential for extension or a permanent opportunity. The role is focused on supporting SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions, particularly financial reporting and process improvement, while acting as the link between finance and SAP technical teams to help shape and optimise finance systems and reporting.
