Salesforce Technical Lead

Salary: £55,000 - 95,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require 7+ years of Salesforce platform experience.
• We require proven experience leading technical delivery on enterprise Salesforce programmes.
• We require deep expertise in Apex, LWC, integration architecture, and data modelling.
• We require strong understanding of Salesforce development patterns and governor limits.
• We require experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling such as Copado, Gearset, and Git-based workflows.
• We require experience integrating Salesforce with ERP, data platforms, or external systems.
• We require strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• We require familiarity with public sector regulations, compliance such as GDPR and FOIA, and procurement processes.
• We require knowledge of common public sector challenges including legacy systems, citizen engagement, case management, grants, and licensing.
• We require proficiency in Salesforce, particularly Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Public Sector Solutions.
• We require strong grasp of Data Cloud, MuleSoft, OmniStudio, and Agentforce for automation and integration.
• We require experience with integration technologies, master data management, and familiarity with other cloud platforms such as AWS.
• We require the ability to analyse, design, and optimize business processes through technology and integration.
• We require demonstrated experience guiding customers and project teams in adopting emerging technologies for business use cases.
• We require desirable certifications including Salesforce Platform Developer II, OmniStudio Developer/Consultant, and Application Architect.
• We require the ability to balance hands-on engineering with strategic technical leadership.
• We require strong presentation, communication, and facilitation skills, with the ability to rapidly learn new technologies.
• We require knowledge of Salesforce AppExchange products and implementation experience as preferred.
• We require the ability to design secure solutions, particularly within high-profile public sector environments, and handle security requirements effectively.
• We require competence in leading design sessions and presenting design options to clients.
• We require extensive experience with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
• We require security clearance for this role, and candidates must confirm whether they currently hold or are willing to undergo clearance, including confirmation of current or previous SC clearance.

Responsibilities:

• We lead and contribute to the design and build of scalable, secure Salesforce solutions aligned to architectural standards and best practices.
• We provide clear technical leadership, support solution design, break down complex requirements, and guide implementation approaches.
• We own and contribute to accurate estimation of development effort, proactively managing dependencies, assumptions, and delivery risks.
• We maintain clear and timely communication with delivery leads, product owners, and stakeholders, providing progress updates, risks, and mitigation actions.
• We drive a strong quality-first engineering culture, ensuring solutions are well-designed, testable, maintainable, and production-ready.
• We identify and resolve technical issues early, escalate risks appropriately, and propose pragmatic, value-focused solutions.
• We actively contribute to peer code reviews, ensuring consistency, performance, security, and maintainability standards are met.
• We support continuous improvement of development practices, tooling, and ways of working.
• We work closely with architects, testers, Dev/DevOps, and product teams to ensure end-to-end delivery success.
• We mentor and guide junior team members, supporting skills development, knowledge sharing, and technical confidence.
• We contribute positively to Agile ceremonies, design workshops, and planning sessions, helping teams deliver predictably and transparently.
• We support design elaboration, conduct peer reviews, and drive consistent standards across teams and environments.
