RF Signature Analyst

Salary: £55,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements:

• We need an understanding of radar cross section (RCS) assessment, reduction or design.
• We need experience in computational electromagnetics and/or RF free-space measurements, such as RCS, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), antenna testing or similar.
• We need experience in data analysis and interpretation of complex datasets.
• We need experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks or RhinoCAD.
• We need a STEM degree.
• Ideally, you also have an understanding of Linux environments and High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems, including Slurm.
• Ideally, you also have an understanding of advanced combat air, weapons or UAS capabilities.
• Ideally, you also have experience within the defence sector and/or an understanding of survivability concepts and threat detection, tracking and engagement.
• Due to the highly secure nature of the work, we need you to be a UK National and eligible to work in the UK.
• You must be eligible to obtain and maintain UK Government Security Check (SC) level security clearance.

Responsibilities:

• We assess RF signatures using computational modelling and simulation techniques.
• We modify and prepare CAD models for electromagnetic analysis.
• We run simulations and analyse results to support technical assessments.
• We investigate target configurations, materials and signature characteristics.
• We produce technical reports and customer-facing documentation.
• We work closely with Dstl analysts and MOD stakeholders to deliver evidence-based recommendations.
