Retail Solution Architect ERP Supply Chain eCommerce POS

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• Deep retail experience, including SKU complexity, fulfilment constraints, store operations, and omnichannel behaviours.
• Strong ERP background with systems such as Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
• Supply chain expertise across OMS, WMS, forecasting, replenishment, and logistics.
• eCommerce architecture experience including checkout, payments, promotions, and customer identity.
• POS knowledge covering store systems, unified basket, returns, click & collect, and loyalty.
• Integration expertise in APIs, microservices, event-driven patterns, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ability to simplify complexity and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strategic mindset paired with practical delivery experience.

Responsibilities:

• Architect end-to-end retail solutions that integrate ERP, supply chain, eCommerce, and POS platforms.
• Lead technical design for major transformation programmes, including ERP modernisation, unified commerce, and store systems refreshes.
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure designs are buildable, scalable, and secure.
• Evaluate vendor platforms, SaaS solutions, and integration patterns.
• Create architectural roadmaps, reference architectures, and design documentation.
• Act as the technical authority in workshops with senior stakeholders.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles and long-term strategy.
• Champion modern retail architecture, including event-driven, API-first, and cloud-native approaches.

We are hiring a retail-native Solution Architect for a London-based role with 80% remote working. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape the architecture across retail transformation initiatives spanning ERP, supply chain, eCommerce, and POS. The role offers the chance to work closely with product, engineering, operations, and commercial teams to improve availability, reduce friction, and enhance the customer experience across every channel. The position is available on a contract basis at £600 to £650 per day inside IR35, with a 6-month rolling term, or permanently at £90,000 to £100,000 plus bonus and benefits.
