Principal Systems Engineer - Systems Architecture

Salary: £85,000 - 85,000 per year

Requirements:

• Facilitating good Systems Engineering practices
• Application of Digital Engineering methodologies
• Systems Engineering Architecture
• Systems Thinking
• Requirements Capture, Management and Analysis
• Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Systems Integration
• Verification and Validation
• Successful delivery of SE documentation
• Knowledge of supporting toolsets such as DOORs, JAMA, JIRA, Enterprise Architect, Cameo Systems Modeller, Rhapsody, MATLAB, and Simulink
• Experience across a breadth of Systems Engineering skillsets
• Thought leadership for the future of Digital Engineering within Systems Engineering
• Interest in interacting with MBSE working groups within industry
• Candidates must be Sole UK Nationals and eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance

Responsibilities:

• Guide the scope and direction of engineering projects at a strategic level
• Work alongside Capability Leads to drive the Systems Engineering capability forward
• Mentor early careers through coaching, guidance, and support
• Promote Digital Engineering best practices across the organization
• Take ownership of project activity at a strategic level
• Engage with external stakeholders at a high level within customer organizations
• Feed back into the business through engineering management meetings
• Deliver technical expertise across a range of customer projects from air to sub-surface
• Support Systems Engineering activity across the design lifecycle
• Develop proposals and statements of work
• Engage with customer representatives to identify opportunities and support delivery
• Attend internal management strategy meetings
• Guide junior engineers in project delivery where needed
