Power Platform Analyst

Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience as a Power Platform Analyst, with expertise in Model-Driven Apps and Dataverse reporting
• Experience developing native operational reporting using Dataverse views, filters, and reporting components
• Experience with FetchXML and Dataverse data structures
• Understanding of operational reporting requirements within application environments
• Ability to assess whether reporting requirements are best served within Model-Driven Apps or through Power BI
• Strong Power BI experience, including data modelling, DAX, and report optimisation
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI Embedded, Dataverse, and wider Power Platform technologies

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimise reporting solutions within Model-Driven Apps and Dataverse environments
• Build and maintain native operational reporting using Dataverse views, lists, filters, and security-aware approaches
• Develop reporting solutions using FetchXML and other Dataverse reporting capabilities
• Support validation, operational, and workflow-driven reporting requirements within business applications
• Assess reporting requirements and determine whether they are best delivered natively or through Power BI
• Develop and optimise Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models where advanced analytical reporting is required
• Support reporting governance, security, performance optimisation, and embedded reporting across the platform

We have partnered with an NHS organisation seeking a Power Platform Analyst to support reporting solutions for a digital platform built on Microsoft Dataverse and Model-Driven Apps. The role focuses mainly on native reporting within the application, with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric used where more advanced analysis is needed. This is a contract running until March 2027, inside IR35, at a rate of £325 per day. The role is remote or based in Cardiff. We offer a referral reward of up to £1,000 for a successful referral, subject to terms.
