Permanent IT Field Service Engineer / IT Technician

Salary: £24,000 - 24,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a full, valid UK driving licence and access to a personal car with business insurance.
• We require evidence of the right to work in the UK.
• We require willingness to undergo a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.
• We require the ability to resolve hardware issues and basic software problems.
• We require experience building PCs, including operating system setup and required software deployment, for both desktop and laptop devices.
• We require a strong understanding of IT systems and environments.
• We require strong customer service skills.
• We require an analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Preferred, but not essential: MCSE certification.
• Preferred, but not essential: manufacturer enterprise server certification.
• Preferred, but not essential: SAN server certification.
• Preferred, but not essential: network/CCNA certification.
• Preferred, but not essential: Dell or other vendor certification to enterprise level or above.
• Preferred, but not essential: experience in a data centre and smart space technology.

Responsibilities:

• We provide maintenance and support for field-based clients.
• We deliver on-site support for clients IT hardware devices.
• We cover a geographic area across the UK, with average travel time per ticket of around 30 minutes nationally.
• We complete all work in line with our technical and quality standards and procedures.
• We ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• We work standard hours of Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, with out-of-hours standby one week in every four.
• We respond to standby and overtime requirements in line with our company policy.
