OT Cyber Security Lead

Salary: £57,117 - 57,117 per year

Requirements:

• Degree or equivalent experience in cybersecurity, engineering, networking, or a related field
• Experience in OT/ICS security within industrial or critical infrastructure environments
• Strong understanding of OT security frameworks including IEC 62443, NIST CSF, CAF, and ISO 27001
• Experience in OT risk assessment and network security, including segmentation and industrial protocols
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and influence across teams
• Eligibility for BPSS and SC clearance, including having resided in the UK for the last 5 years
• Desirable: experience integrating OT with SOC/SIEM
• Desirable: familiarity with OT asset discovery tools
• Desirable: knowledge of critical infrastructure regulation, such as NIS and CAF
• Desirable: experience with ITSM or service delivery frameworks

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of OT cyber security across safety-critical environments
• Act as the technical authority for OT security and ensure controls are risk-based, proportionate, and aligned with recognised standards
• Act as design authority for OT network security architectures, including segmentation, zoning, IT/OT boundaries, and air-gapping
• Provide independent assurance balancing cyber security, safety, and operational availability
• Define and assure OT security controls, including firewalls, remote access, monitoring, and SOC/SIEM integration
• Lead OT cyber risk management and incident response activities
• Own and evolve our OT cyber security strategy, standards, and capability
• Collaborate across engineering, operations, and enterprise security teams

This OT Cyber Security Lead role is based at Culham, Oxfordshire, with hybrid working and an expectation of onsite presence for three days each week, plus occasional travel to other UKAEA locations.
