Network Security Architect

Salary: £55,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong background in network architecture and design, with real depth in network security rather than general infrastructure
• Experience working with classified information, ideally within the UK and/or NATO member countries, and familiarity with the associated standards
• Able to chair and coordinate technical design discussions, not just contribute to them
• Comfortable operating in an international, multicultural team
• Confident working across internal customer groups, business analysts, and technical teams
• Eligible for DV clearance; sole British citizenship required
• TOGAF, CCNP, CISSP, or equivalent certifications would be an advantage
• Hands-on accreditation experience against Def Stan or NATO security standards would stand out

Responsibilities:

• Design network architectures for highly secure environments from early concept through to delivery
• Chair technical design reviews with peers across national operations teams
• Present architecture decisions to information security colleagues
• Set direction for network strategy, including the move to cloud services
• Work with network operations, information security, application teams, and SOC colleagues across multiple countries and classification levels
• Find practical middle ground between competing technical approaches

We are hiring for a Network Security Architect role based in Stevenage, working on highly classified national and international projects across multiple classification levels, including work with NATO member countries. This is a hybrid position with 2-3 days on site, offering a circa £65,000 salary depending on experience, a bonus of up to 21% of salary, pension contributions up to 14% combined, genuine flexible working, and excellent site facilities.
