Network Engineer

Salary: £43,000 - 83,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require hands-on experience in networking, IT and communications.
• We require prior experience as a network engineer within an IT department.
• We require experience supporting an existing Juniper SRX-based network with cyber patches and issue investigation as needed, including VPNs, VLANs and an ESXi server environment.
• We would value understanding of Microsoft, Windows, Linux, Juniper or coding environments.
• We require the ability to investigate problems and provide solutions to complex network issues.
• We require professionalism and experience in a structured IT environment.
• We require a degree in engineering or equivalent IT-related experience.
• Applicants must be eligible for SC clearance as a minimum.

Responsibilities:

• We support QinetiQ and MOD customers in an ITIL-based environment.
• We work across multiple projects and layers to deliver secure, efficient data transfer and key communications and network systems.
• We work closely with project managers and technical leads to deliver quality outputs.
• We assist with system implementations.
• We contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• We develop processes.
• We share knowledge and provide practical solutions.
• We investigate and resolve technical issues across existing networks and systems.
• We support multiple projects and ensure timely delivery of technical outputs.
• We implement and configure new systems and solutions.
