Lead Data Scientist

Salary: £70,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for an experienced Lead Data Scientist or Senior Data Scientist with previous leadership experience.
• We ideally want experience with Python, SQL, and either R or similar analytical languages.
• We ideally want experience in machine learning, predictive modelling, and statistical analysis.
• We ideally want experience with Databricks or comparable cloud-based analytics platforms.
• We ideally want experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualisation tools.
• We ideally want experience working with cloud data platforms, data lakes, and enterprise data warehouses.
• We ideally want experience leading and developing technical teams.
• We want someone who can communicate complex analytical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities:

• We will have you lead, mentor, and develop a team of Data Scientists and Analysts.
• We will have you deliver advanced analytics, predictive modelling, and machine learning solutions to solve complex business challenges.
• We will have you identify opportunities where AI and data science can create measurable business improvements.
• We will have you translate business requirements into scalable analytical solutions.
• We will have you work alongside Data Engineering and BI teams to deploy and maintain production-ready models.
• We will have you champion innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and best practices within data science and AI.
• We will have you present analytical findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders across the organisation.
• We will have you drive continuous improvement across analytical capability, governance, and delivery.

We are an established UK organisation offering a 12-month fixed-term contract for a Lead Data Scientist. This is a hybrid role based in our Bristol office, with three days per week onsite.
