Lead Azure Platform Engineer

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require proven experience in a Lead Azure cloud role with enterprise-scale Azure PaaS platform leadership.
• We require expert knowledge of Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and platform automation.
• We require strong DevOps experience, including building and maintaining multi-stage CI/CD pipelines.
• We require experience delivering cloud engineering in a regulated environment, ideally Financial Services.
• We require experience architecting Azure landing zones and Terraform-based IaC frameworks.
• We require experience with Azure cloud networking, connectivity, integration, security controls, monitoring, resilience, and operational supportability.
• We require the ability to work at a senior level with multiple stakeholders.
• We require experience mentoring and coaching engineers.
• We prefer a career background that started in Infrastructure before moving into Cloud and Azure.

Responsibilities:

• We lead cloud engineering and delivery for our Azure platform.
• We provide architectural design input and technical direction.
• We design, build, automate, and continuously improve Azure cloud platform services.
• We develop and maintain Terraform modules, CI/CD pipelines, and platform automation.
• We support Azure releases and work across greenfield and BAU projects.
• We handle cloud networking, security controls, monitoring, resilience, and operational supportability.
• We contribute to platform enablement, engineering standards, and a strong engineering culture.
• We mentor and support engineers where needed.
• We work directly on Azure platform services in a hands-on leadership capacity.

This is a fully home-based role anywhere across the UK, offering a salary of £90,000 to £100,000 plus bonus and benefits.
