IT Technician

Salary: £32,000 - 37,000 per year

Requirements:

• Ideally have experience in an IT Technician, IT Support, Service Desk or similar hands-on role.
• Experience across some of the following: Windows desktop environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and/or Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, hardware and software troubleshooting, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and Wi-Fi, basic network administration, IT security and endpoint protection, backup systems, and helpdesk/ticketing systems.
• Qualifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco or similar would be useful, but are not essential if you have the right practical experience.
• Be approachable, organised and comfortable dealing with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Enjoy solving problems and taking ownership.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support across hardware, software and connectivity issues.
• Install, configure and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices and other IT equipment.
• Administer Microsoft 365 and user accounts.
• Support Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID environments.
• Set up equipment and system access for new starters.
• Support wired and wireless networks.
• Manage devices and assist with Microsoft Intune.
• Maintain hardware, software and licence inventories.
• Support backups, security checks and endpoint protection.
• Assist with system upgrades, migrations and wider IT projects.
• Maintain accurate IT documentation.
• Work with external IT and technology suppliers where required.
• Help employees use company systems effectively and securely.

This is a permanent role offering a salary of £32,000–£37,000 depending on experience.
