IT Support Technician

Requirements:

• We need strong customer service and communication skills.
• You must have a driving licence and your own vehicle, as the role is based across two sites.
• We would ideally like some 1st line support experience or good knowledge of IT equipment, including setting up and checking networks.
• You must be comfortable communicating by telephone, email, and face to face.
• We need proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• You should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• We will have you setting up laptops, PCs, and printers, including initial desk setup and network checks.
• You will build and repair laptops and reset passwords.
• You will install equipment and check networks.
• You will collect equipment and kit from the stores area.
• You will follow SOPs and other relevant processes and procedures.
• You will manage end-user hardware, including setup, repair, and troubleshooting.
• You will provide basic support for printers and copiers.
• You will assist the team with 1st line support and raising tickets.
• You will help ensure stock levels of IT equipment are maintained.

We are recruiting an IT Support Technician to join our global manufacturing company in Newport. We are a market-leading organisation within our field, working with a small and friendly team and reporting to the IT Manager. This is a long-term temporary position with an immediate start available, working Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 16:30 on-site.
