IT Support Engineer

Salary: £29,000 - 32,000 per year

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years experience in an IT Support Engineer role, with extensive user and system support experience
• Excellent communication and customer support skills
• Ability to manage time independently and prioritize support tickets by incident type and severity
• Knowledge of Windows Server and desktop operating systems
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 management and Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with IP telephony systems
• Experience maintaining routers and firewalls
• Team-player approach

Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on technical deskside and remote support for users PC hardware, software, and associated peripherals
• Log support calls and document outcomes to help resolve common queries
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues
• Manage VoIP and digital phone systems
• Assist with maintaining and distributing software packages, both manually and automatically
• Redirect or escalate support requests to external IT consultants when required
• Install and configure operating systems to standards agreed with external IT consultants
• Help prepare, install, and maintain the firms disaster recovery centre, and assist with and provide guidance on the disaster recovery plan
• Set up and manage Android and iOS mobile phones and their contracts

We are JS Legal Recruitment Ltd, and we are working with a highly regarded law firm in Braintree to recruit an experienced IT Support Engineer for a hands-on, frontline support role serving users with varying levels of technical experience. The position is Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Benefits include 22 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays and additional days for the Christmas closure.
