IT Support Engineer

Salary: £25,000 - 30,000 per year

Requirements:

• Some experience in an IT support role, internship, or helpdesk environment
• Understanding of Windows OS
• Understanding of Active Directory and user management
• Understanding of Microsoft 365, including Outlook and Teams
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
• Clear communication and a customer-first mindset
• A proactive attitude, including asking questions and taking ownership
• IT certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are desirable but not essential
• Exposure to ticketing systems is desirable but not essential
• Basic networking knowledge, including DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP, is desirable but not essential

Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for IT support queries, both remote and onsite
• Troubleshoot issues across hardware, software, and user accounts
• Support Windows environments, Office 365, and basic networking issues
• Log and manage tickets through to resolution
• Escalate more complex issues to senior engineers
• Deliver excellent customer service and user communication
