IT Service Delivery Engineer

Salary: £45,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven line management experience, including supporting, developing and managing the performance of team members.
• Extensive knowledge of Windows Server and Client technologies, including core Windows domain services.
• A good understanding of networking fundamentals, including firewalls, routers and switches across multiple platforms.
• Experience of system design and integration, following best practice and Secure by Design methodologies.
• Working knowledge of virtualisation technologies across multiple platforms.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware, software and networking issues.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work directly with customers.
• A creative and practical approach to problem solving.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience working with MoD or other secure, air-gapped networks.
• Project management experience.
• We must be a UK National and eligible to work in the UK.
• We must be eligible to obtain and maintain a UK Government Security Check (SC) / Developed Vetting (DV)-level security clearance.

Responsibilities:

• We will manage and develop a team of Delivery Engineers while balancing hands-on technical delivery.
• We will take ownership of technical tasking and IT project delivery across a specified customer contract.
• We will monitor and maintain critical systems and advanced networks.
• We will provide 3rd line support and troubleshoot complex hardware, software and networking issues.
• We will contribute to system design and solution architecture.
• We will attend customer and technical planning meetings and provide technical input to develop effective solutions.
• We will work with customers, industry partners and internal teams on secure, technically challenging projects.
• We will travel regularly to UK customer sites, with occasional overseas trips and extended periods away from home.
