Job Description

Salary: £40,000 - 40,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Experience developing and applying processes, techniques, and tools to capture, track, correct, and report on IT hardware assets and associated data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Ability to interpret complex IT hardware asset information and present it in a simplified format to peers and management.
  • Experience agreeing the scope of IT hardware asset management standards, plans, processes, and procedures with stakeholders to optimise the capture and use of asset management data.
  • Proven experience managing IT hardware assets and ensuring changes are properly impacted and communicated.
  • Experience evaluating existing IT hardware asset management systems and leading continuous improvement of IT asset management procedures.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide colleagues with the tools and technology they need to deliver vital services to millions of citizens.
  • Help manage approximately 125,000 IT assets, including laptops, peripherals, and printers, supporting colleagues across DWP and wider government.
  • Play a key role in ensuring IT assets are accurately tracked, governed, and managed throughout their lifecycle.
  • Develop and improve asset management processes, policies, and controls.
  • Use data and insight to support decision-making, drive compliance, and enhance service delivery.
  • Work with stakeholders across Digital, operational teams, and suppliers to help ensure the technology estate remains well-managed, cost-effective, and fit for purpose.
