Information Security Manager

Salary: £65,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for an experienced Information Security Manager with a strong technical background in network security, infrastructure security and cyber security.
• We would suit someone who has progressed from a technical infrastructure or security engineering position into Information Security, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) or Security Assurance.
• We need previous experience in Network Security, Infrastructure Security, Cyber Security Engineering, Systems Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering before moving into an Information Security or Cyber Security Management role.
• We need a strong understanding of firewalls, switches, routing, Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, endpoint security, vulnerability management, security monitoring, networking principles and infrastructure hardening.
• We need experience with ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), security audits and information security frameworks.

Responsibilities:

• We will work closely with Infrastructure, IT Operations and Engineering teams to ensure security is embedded across networks, servers, cloud environments and business systems.
• We will provide technical guidance on security architecture, vulnerability management, secure configuration, patching, identity and access management, firewalls, endpoint security and infrastructure hardening.
• We will lead information security governance, risk management and compliance activities.
• We will maintain and improve our Information Security Management System (ISMS).
• We will support ISO 27001 certification.
• We will manage security audits, supplier assurance, security incidents and business continuity planning.
• We will work with technical teams to assess vulnerabilities, review penetration testing results, oversee remediation activities and ensure security controls are implemented effectively across on-premise and cloud infrastructure.

We are hiring for a Cyber Security Manager / InfoSec Manager role based in Bedford, with a hybrid working pattern of 1–2 days a week in the office. This is a strong opportunity for someone moving from a technical security or infrastructure background into information security leadership. The salary is £75k.
