Data Engineer (Palantir Foundry)

Salary: £80,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry.
• Experience designing and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines.
• Experience with batch, incremental, and streaming ETL/ELT workflows.
• Experience with data modelling, schema design, semantic layers, metadata management, and governance.
• Experience designing and maintaining Foundry ontologies, including object types, link types, property types, and semantic relationships.
• Experience supporting Foundry Workshop apps, dashboards, and end-user analytical experiences.
• Experience implementing automated testing, CI/CD patterns, and deployment best practices for data assets.
• Technical experience with Python, SQL, PySpark, Spark SQL, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, CI/CD, and Git-based workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, semantic models, and data products using Palantir Foundry.
• Work closely with data scientists, data analysts, product teams, and stakeholders to deliver production-grade data foundations.
• Develop reusable, production-ready components for ETL/ELT workflows.
• Build data products, semantic layers, metadata management, and governance capabilities.
• Design and maintain Foundry ontologies, including object types, link types, property types, and semantic relationships.
• Support Foundry Workshop apps, dashboards, and end-user analytical experiences.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD patterns, and deployment best practices for Foundry-based data assets.

We are offering a permanent Data Engineer role based in Leeds on a hybrid working model, with remote work from home and occasional travel into our Leeds office. This is an opportunity to work with a leading global IT transformation on large-scale government projects. We offer a salary of £75,000 to £80,000, depending on experience, along with benefits including remote/hybrid working, pension, 22 days holiday plus bank holidays rising to 25 days, death in service, and a health care plan.
