Cyber Security Engineer

Salary: £62,000 - 72,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Security Engineer
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Defender and Sentinel
• Good experience securing Azure and Entra ID environments
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability management
• Understanding of security frameworks and technical controls
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities:

• Manage and improve Microsoft Defender and Sentinel capabilities
• Secure Azure environments and implement effective security controls
• Manage Entra ID security, including Conditional Access, Identity Protection, and privileged access
• Support vulnerability management and remediation
• Implement data protection controls using Microsoft Purview
• Support threat monitoring, detection, and incident response
• Provide security input into technology projects and architecture decisions
• Support security frameworks including NCSC CAF, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and CIS Controls
• Act as a security SME to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
