Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: £50,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in some of the following areas: Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration
• Windows Server administration
• Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD)
• Virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and firewalls
• Endpoint management tools such as Intune
• Backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions
• Cyber security best practices and infrastructure security
• PowerShell scripting would be advantageous
• Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or equivalent would be beneficial
• Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900) or equivalent would be beneficial
• CompTIA Network or Security would be beneficial
• ITIL Foundation certification would be beneficial
• Relevant degree, apprenticeship or professional IT qualification would be beneficial
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• A proactive and customer-focused approach
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
• A willingness to learn and develop within a cloud-first environment

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, support and continually improve cloud and on-premise infrastructure
• Monitor system performance, availability and security across the IT estate
• Support Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud services
• Assist with infrastructure projects, upgrades and cloud migrations
• Manage and support servers, networks, storage and virtual environments
• Investigate and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and problems
• Implement security best practices and support vulnerability management activities
• Maintain technical documentation, procedures and system records
• Work with third-party suppliers and technology partners to deliver effective solutions
• Contribute to business continuity, backup and disaster recovery processes
• Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues across the organisation

We are offering a full-time permanent Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer role based in Birmingham with hybrid working and a salary of up to £46,000.
