Business Intelligence Consultant

Salary: £64,000 - 104,000 per year

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in a data-related role, such as BI Consultant, Data Analyst, Data Specialist, or Marketing Analyst.
• Strong SQL expertise for data manipulation, transformation, and data models.
• Strong experience in one or more reporting tools, such as Power BI, Looker Studio, Looker, or Tableau.
• Experience with data analysis and/or data analysis tools, such as Python, R, or SPSS.
• An understanding of marketing data, such as campaign performance, attribution, and website tracking.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• An analytical, independent, and proactive profile that feels at home in a client-facing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and facilitate discovery workshops with clients to understand their business model, stakeholders, KPIs, and reporting needs.
• Translate business questions into clear BI requirements, data models, and dashboard concepts.
• Design, prototype, and build dashboards for management and specialist users that are intuitive, insightful, and actionable.
• Set up, validate, and maintain data integrations from multiple sources, such as marketing platforms, CRM, ecommerce, and internal systems.
• Conduct audits of existing BI and reporting setups, assessing data quality, tooling, processes, and overall data maturity.
• Collaborate closely with client and in-house teams to guide best practices for data collection, modelling, and visualisation.
• Enable and onboard clients on dashboards and reports, ensuring stakeholders understand, adopt, and use them to drive decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate reporting, streamlining recurring analysis and freeing up time for insight-driven work.
• Contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the department and team.
• Manage a portfolio of well-known clients and multiple diverse projects, from strategic advice and solution design to hands-on implementation.
