Android Developer

Salary: £58,000 - 98,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience developing Android applications
• Strong command of important programming and computer science concepts
• Understanding of how mobile applications are built end to end, including interaction with server-side components
• Fundamental knowledge of core mobile principles, including UI implementation, common development frameworks, and REST APIs
• Working knowledge of modern Android development, Java and/or Kotlin, Android Jetpack, and design patterns such as MVVM and MVP
• Great interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively within a team
• A proactive personality and a desire to deliver strong work
• A strong interest in improving software development workflows and processes
• Nice to have: understanding of functional reactive programming and ReactiveX frameworks
• Nice to have: experience with newer networking approaches such as GraphQL
• Nice to have: additional mobile development experience, such as iOS with Swift or cross-platform development with React Native, Flutter, Ionic, Xamarin, or Cordova

Responsibilities:

• Write maintainable, testable, and performant software in collaboration with our team
• Participate in code reviews and extensive testing to ensure we deliver high quality software
• Research new technologies and tools and share findings with the team
• Communicate clearly and effectively with all members of our team
• Assist in the development of consumer and enterprise applications
