Full Stack Engineer - EMEA
Job Description
Salary: £45,000 - 85,000 per year
Requirements:- At least 4 years of full-stack experience, with a focus on TypeScript development.
- Expert-level experience designing, coding, testing, and maintaining applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Express, and Postgres.
- Experience creating function-based React components, hooks, stories, and tests, and designing server-side APIs, data models, and business logic.
- Thrive in a collaborative, remote-first culture; able to work independently, take ownership, and contribute effectively as part of a team.
- Strong communication and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to explain complex ideas and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Customer-focused and business-minded approach to software development, with attention to detail and high-value outcomes.
- Experience with NestJS, Vite, and Next.js is a plus.
- Additional relevant experience includes SaaS products running continuously on a major cloud vendor, RESTful APIs, microservices, asynchronous programming, testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, Chai, Storybook, or React Testing Library, automated testing with Cypress, and Docker or Kubernetes.
- Develop high-quality, responsive web applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Express, and Postgres.
- Design and implement server-side APIs, data models, and business logic, primarily using Express.
- Build client-side React components, hooks, stories, and tests that work with server-side features.
- Create and optimize database schemas, queries, and interactions with Postgres.
- Build reusable, modular front-end and back-end components that support maintainability and scalability.
- Test, debug, and troubleshoot applications to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Participate in product planning and contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, from discovery to deployment.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and QA teams to develop features, improve products, and fix bugs.
- Review code and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to team members and stakeholders.
- Track emerging web development trends and recommend improvements to development processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Take ownership of feature development across the client, server, services, and database, while supporting a high-quality customer experience.
