Third Line Cloud Engineer

Salary: £51,000 - 91,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require hands-on experience managing Azure environments across multiple subscriptions and regions.
• We require strong expertise in Azure IaaS, including compute, storage, and networking.
• We require experience with Azure networking, including VNets, subnets, NSGs, route tables, and network interfaces.
• We require knowledge of hybrid connectivity, including ExpressRoute and VNet Gateways.
• We require experience with load balancing and traffic management, such as Azure Load Balancer and Traffic Manager.
• We require hands-on experience with Azure Storage Accounts, snapshots, and Backup/Recovery Services Vaults.
• We require working knowledge of Azure Key Vault, certificates, managed identities, and app registrations.
• We require experience implementing private connectivity using Private Endpoints and Private DNS Zones.
• We require exposure to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerised workloads.
• We require experience managing Azure ARC-enabled resources in hybrid environments.
• Were looking for a proactive mindset, a focus on reducing manual effort through automation, and an ability to drive continuous process improvements.
• We require strong customer-facing and interpersonal skills, clear communication of technical details to stakeholders, and experience with stakeholder engagement and cross-team collaboration.
• We require SC clearance or a willingness to undertake clearance.
• We consider exposure to Azure DevOps and Terraform, CI/CD pipeline management and optimisation, Azure CLI, PowerShell, automation scripting, Microsoft AZ-104, and Terraform Associate certification advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Well ask you to perform root cause analysis, investigate and diagnose cloud-related issues, and report your findings.
• Well ask you to monitor and optimise Azure environments for availability, performance, and security.
• Well ask you to troubleshoot and resolve build, deployment, and infrastructure issues.
• Well ask you to support compliance with industry standards and best practices for security, scalability, and reliability.
• Well ask you to create and maintain detailed documentation for processes, configurations, and procedures.
• Well ask you to develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation.
• Well ask you to participate in on-call support outside business hours; additional compensation is provided.
