Desk Support Analyst

Salary: £28,000 - 34,000 per year

Requirements:

• Hands-on Microsoft Defender experience, including vulnerability remediation
• Good desktop support experience across laptops, desktops and mobile devices
• Strong Microsoft 365 / Office 365 knowledge
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software and connectivity issues
• A good understanding of IT security
• Ability to investigate and resolve technical issues independently

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support across desktop and mobile devices
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system and connectivity issues
• Configure, deploy and install hardware and software
• Use Microsoft Defender to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities
• Support IT security and respond appropriately to security issues
• Support device management and deployment through Microsoft Intune
• Package and deploy applications
• Support IT projects across the desktop and wider IT environment
• Test and evaluate new hardware and software
• Provide users with guidance and support on systems and applications
• Work with third-party suppliers to resolve technical issues
• Support users across multiple locations when required

Were recruiting a Desktop Support Analyst to join our established internal IT team, providing technical support across a multi-site organisation. This is a broader role than traditional first-line support, with hands-on involvement in IT security, vulnerability remediation, device management and application deployment. Experience with Microsoft Intune and application packaging would also be particularly useful. The role is permanent and full-time, based in Nottingham, with a salary of £28,000–£34,000.
