Lead Software Engineer, Product Lead Technologist

Salary: £37,000 - 68,500 per year

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience designing, specifying, and building software end to end
• Ability to explain how generative AI can address document management, workflow automation, and knowledge management problems
• Track record of leading and mentoring engineers
• Strong experience with a modern object-oriented language such as C# or Java
• Deep knowledge of software design patterns, clean code, and clean architecture
• Experience building REST APIs and working with messaging systems
• Confidence defining data models and working with databases
• Experience shipping user-facing web applications
• Collaborative Agile mindset and passion for best practice

Responsibilities:

• Lead a squad of software and QA engineers, including line management of around four developers
• Work in a lean Agile team using a scaled Scrum framework
• Build back-end services using C# and ASP.NET Core, with front-end work in TypeScript/React, ASP.NET MVC, or Blazor
• Build cloud-first applications with strong unit test coverage, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code
• Containerise and deploy applications through Azure Kubernetes Service
• Work with Entity Framework code-first data and Azure SQL or NoSQL databases
• Design resilient microservices integrated through a cloud message bus
• Uphold secure coding and infrastructure standards
• Develop your skills and share knowledge across the team
• Build reusable components for other teams
