Senior AI/ML Consultant, AWS Professional Services

Salary: £63,000 - 103,000 per year

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or experience in a professional field or military
• Experience as a technical specialist in design and architecture
• Experience with databases such as SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or Kinesis
• Experience consulting on, designing, and implementing serverless distributed solutions
• Software development experience with an object-oriented language
• Experience with cloud-based solutions (AWS or equivalent), systems, networks, and operating systems
• Experience with external- or internal-customer-facing, complex, large-scale project management
• Experience building complex, highly scalable systems involving predictive models or machine learning applications
• Experience in data and machine learning engineering and cloud-native technologies
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain UK Government Security Clearance
• Preferred: Masters degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science, or a PhD
• Preferred: Knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, ELB, RDS, VPC, Route 53, and S3
• Preferred: Experience with the software development life cycle and agile or iterative methodologies
• Preferred: Experience facilitating discussions with senior leadership about technical and architectural trade-offs, best practices, and risk mitigation
• Preferred: Experience creating and delivering written and oral communications for technical and non-technical audiences
• Preferred: Python experience and hands-on experience building models with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, or MXNet

Responsibilities:

• Lead complex AI/ML engagements from strategic planning through pre-production deployment and optimisation
• Architect and implement advanced solutions using AWS AI/ML services, particularly generative AI with Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior consultants while promoting best practices across delivery teams
• Partner with customers to translate business challenges into measurable machine learning outcomes and delivery roadmaps
• Drive applied AI/ML innovation and contribute methodologies and reusable solutions across our practice
• Influence customer AI strategy with technical expertise and industry insights
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate stakeholders to deliver high-impact AI solutions
• Provide thought leadership in internal and external engagements
• Support presales activities by providing technical expertise and reviewing project scope and risks
