Job Description
Salary: £59,000 - 99,000 per year
Requirements:- Were looking for experience working as a Software Engineer on production systems, with growing technical ownership of your work.

- You should be proficient in at least one common high-level programming language, such as Java, C#, Python, Go, JavaScript, or TypeScript, and have exposure to or interest in learning others.
- You should be familiar with container-based development, such as building, running, or deploying containerised applications.
- You should understand secure software development principles and how to apply them in day-to-day coding.
- Were looking for experience contributing to production-ready systems, including logging, monitoring, and reliability considerations.
- You should be able to participate in system design discussions and understand architectural trade-offs, with guidance from senior engineers.
- Were looking for experience using Git-based source control and common branching strategies.
- You will contribute to designing and implementing scalable, secure, and resilient software solutions.
- You will work with tech leads to deliver team priorities aligned with our broader strategy.
- You will collaborate with engineering teams across bp to help adapt and integrate their solutions with the Yalla stack.
- You will write high-quality, production-ready code in languages such as C#, Python, Java, or Go, and learn new technologies when needed.
- You will work with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to build solutions that make effective use of the Yalla stack.
- You will implement and deliver platform changes in a timely and reliable manner.
- You will follow and uphold our software engineering standards and best practices.
- You will develop, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines to support reliable, repeatable releases.
- You will support configuration and release processes to help ensure smooth, predictable deployments.
- You will share knowledge with teammates, support other engineers when appropriate, and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
- You will design, implement, and optimize relational databases and data models to support application needs.
- You will support live services by improving monitoring and reliability, and responding to incidents when required.
- You will participate in system design discussions, offering input and feedback with guidance from senior engineers.
- You will apply secure coding practices and follow our information security policies and standards.
- You will contribute to delivery planning, progress tracking, and execution of digital initiatives within your team.
