Contract Firmware Engineer

Salary: £104,000 - 124,800 per year

Requirements:

• Strong embedded C firmware development experience
• STM32 bare-metal debug and bring-up experience
• Microcontroller development experience with STM32, NXP, Renesas, Microchip or similar
• Board Support Package (BSP) development experience
• Serial communications experience including SPI, I2C, UART and CAN

Responsibilities:

• Support the development of a next-generation product entering beta phase
• Carry out firmware development, hardware bring-up, peripheral integration and platform development
• Work closely with Senior Engineers on a dedicated new product development programme

We are an innovative engineering business based in Cambridge developing advanced safety technologies. This contract Firmware Engineer role is an urgent requirement supporting a next-generation product as it enters beta development. The assignment is expected to start in early October and run for 5 months initially, with potential for extension. The role is on-site in Dry Drayton, Cambridge, ideally 5 days per week, and is indicated as outside IR35, allowing candidates to operate through their own PSC.
