Software Delivery Manager

Salary: £25,000 - 35,000 per year

Requirements:

• 2–5 years of professional experience in business analysis, QA or project delivery, ideally in fintech, financial services or another regulated environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and the confidence to influence stakeholders.
• Strong experience writing requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Hands-on experience with test design, UAT and defect management.
• Experience delivering projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
• Proficiency with tools such as Trello and Jira, and test management tools.
• Working understanding of how modern web and mobile applications and RESTful APIs fit together.
• API testing experience (e.g. Postman).
• Exposure to AI-powered applications and automation tools.
• Experience testing payment integrations (e.g. Stripe).
• SQL or MongoDB query skills for data validation.
• Test automation exposure.
• Familiarity with financial services regulation and standards (e.g. FCA requirements, KYC/AML, PCI DSS).
• Recognised certifications such as ISTQB, CBAP, PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile/Scrum.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyse and document business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
• Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and functional specifications.
• Translate business needs, including financial rules such as staircasing schedules, profit distributions and eligibility logic, into precise, testable requirements.
• Support backlog refinement and prioritisation with product owners and the COO.
• Design and execute test plans, test cases and regression suites across web and mobile applications, APIs and integrations.
• Validate financial calculations and payment flows end to end, including third-party payment providers.
• Lead user acceptance testing, manage defect triage and track issues through to resolution.
• Maintain traceability from requirements to test results, and sign off releases against agreed quality, security and compliance standards.
• Plan, track and deliver projects on time and within scope, managing timelines, dependencies and risks.
• Run Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives.
• Coordinate release planning and go-live readiness across engineering, product and operations.
• Keep stakeholders informed with clear, honest status updates.
• Work closely with the COO, lead developers, product owners and business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Marketing and infrastructure teams.
• Support production issue investigation and resolution.
• Take ownership of the quality of our work.
• Build software with security, resilience and maintainability in mind.
• Collaborate openly across teams.
• Continuously learn and improve.
• Focus on solving customer problems rather than simply completing development tasks.
